1. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Last Dance
Stewart-Haas Racing’s (SHR) performance will be a key storyline in the playoffs. Since 2009 the team owned by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas has been one of the most successful on the grid. They have clinched two Cup Series titles and many other races. Sadly though, after all those years of winning they decided to shut down the team at the end of this season.
Thanks to Chase Briscoe, the team can at least still attempt one more playoff run at the very least after winning the Southern 500. This puts SHR in a very risky position with each race being the team’s last shot at a championship. It will be interesting to see how SHR and Briscoe will do.
