Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens found themselves down 7-0 in the first quarter of Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Baltimore needed a play from the likely NFL MVP. Boy, Jackson did not disappoint. After converting on fourth down earlier in the drive with a 21-yard run, Jackson showed just how much of a magician he can be.
With star Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. out of the game to injury, Leo Chenal took over the role of spying Jackson. It did not go well. Check out the stud quarterback breaking free from what would be a sack to hit rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers for a 30-yard touchdown. Just insane stuff.
This is talent you just can’t teach. It’s not found on a practice field or during football camps. It’s given at birth, and Jackson continues to do the most with it.
The only thing a defense can do here is pray and hope that Lamar Jackson doesn’t go full Lamar Jackson.
With Baltimore needing it, the star quarterback did his thing. It sets up what promises to be an epic AFC Championship Game.
