Josh Jacobs and Davante Adams spent two seasons together as teammates on the Las Vegas Raiders. Although the Raiders didn’t reach the postseason either year, both Jacobs and Adams earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2022, showing that the running back and wide receiver are capable of being two of the very best at their position.
But now they’re no longer teammates after Jacobs signed a four-year, $48 million contract with the Green Bay Packers this past offseason. Meanwhile, Adams is under contract with the Raiders through 2026.

Yet, despite Adams saying all the right things publicly, noting that he doesn’t want a trade out of Vegas, that hasn’t prevented others, like Jacobs, from trying to recruit the six-time Pro Bowl receiver.
On Wednesday, Jacobs said that the Packers’ current receiving corps is “crazy,” which prompted him to text Adams about coming back to Green Bay.
“When I came out here.., I sent him the little eyes emoji. I said, ‘You thinking about coming back?’ But man, he loved it.”

While Adams did recently rave about the progress Jordan Love has made, he doesn’t appear any closer to being traded from the Raiders. And even if he was, chances are there’s another quarterback or two he’d like to reunite with first. One, in New York, where Aaron Rodgers controls flight patterns, and another in New Orleans, where his former college teammate Derek Carr keeps the Saints marching.
