Jared Goff sets up fundraiser to help those impacted by California wildfires

The Rams won't consider Tony Romo, just a year after trading up for Jared Goff

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff knows first hand how natural disasters can impact your way of life. A native of Marin County in Northern California, his home region is currently ablaze with dozens of wildfires that have been burning out of control for over the past week.

In keeping his home community in mind, Goff has set up a GoFundMe to help with the recovery efforts in the counties just north of where he grew up.

Goff is from Novato, which is mere miles from the Sonoma County line. Sonoma has been hit hardest by the wild fires, with an estimated 41 people dying from the blazes and hundreds of thousands of acres being burnt to the ground. In specific, Santa Rosa has looked like part of the apocalypse.

Goff’s goal is to raise $50,000 for recovery efforts. He joins other California professional sports teams and athletes in helping aide what promises to be a lengthy rebuild in the northern part of the state.

We definitely commend Goff for his efforts and wish the best to those impacted by the fires that are still raging.
