Women’s Top 25 roundup: No. 24 West Virginia gets past Texas Christian

JJ Quinerly and Jordan Harrison scored 14 points apiece and the host Mountaineers (23-6, 12-6 Big 12) snapped a season-worst three-game losing streak by defeating TCU 57-49 in Morgantown, W.Va.

Madison Conner posted 18 points and Sedona Prince scored 15 points for TCU (19-10, 6-12), which had a four-game losing streak snapped. The Horned Frogs’ most-recent previous loss also came against West Virginia, which posted a 77-52 rout of TCU on Feb. 13.

West Virginia built a 37-17 halftime lead. But when TCU posted the first eight points of the fourth quarter, the gap was down to 48-38. It took the Mountaineers nearly six minutes to post their first points of the fourth quarter. TCU shot 3-for-14 on 3-pointers.
