WATCH: Giancarlo Stanton crushes 110.7-MPH HR in Game 1 of ALCS

The New York Yankees bats were relatively dormant early in Game 1 of the ALCS. Now they’re coming alive after Giancarlo Stanton launched the second home run of the inning.

Moments after Gleyber Torres unleashed a solo home run off Houston Astros starting pitcher Zack Greinke, Stanton got in on the action. The All-Star outfielder watched Greinke’s 92-mph fastball come in and launched it into the atmosphere with a 110.7-mph exit velocity for a 4-0 lead.

Stanton was relatively cold at the plate coming into the series with only one hit in six at-bats. He started to find his groove with an infield single in the second inning then tapped into his incredible power with this monster blast.

New York is seeking revenge after losing the 2017 ALCS to the Astros and never winning a game in Houston. Now with a four-run lead, the Yankees are on their way to getting redemption.
