As a sports fan, there’s nothing that compares to experiencing the live pulse of a football game in person. Yet, there are many who would rather enjoy NFL games from the comfort of their home instead, where it’s not cold, windy, or snowy, hopefully.
Yet, for those going to the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills Wild Card matchups, the goal will be trying not to freeze.
On Saturday, the Miami Dolphins have the pleasure of playing in the hostile environment at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, where temperatures are expected to be -1 at kickoff, with a ‘real feel’ of -20. It’s projected to be one of the coldest games in NFL history.
Buffalo Bills asking for help to clear snow for Wild Card matchup as ticket prices crater
But that’s not all. On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will battle the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York. This winter wonderland has a weather storm warning in effect from Saturday at 10 AM EST to Monday at 7 AM EST, with “total snow accumulations of one to two feet.” Some areas may even get two to three feet. Welcome to Buffalo.
This isn’t Buffalo’s first rodeo. They’re already asking for help to clear the snow, offering anyone with a strong back $20 an hour to help shovel snow in the cold.
While both the Dolphins-Chiefs and Steelers-Bills games are the biggest matchups this quartet of teams has played this year, ticket prices for both matchups have completely tanked.
According to TickPick, fans can still find Bills tickets for under $100. You may need a tank to get there, but that’s an experience you’ll never forget.
Chiefs tickets have stooped even lower, where spectators can buy in at less than $50 for a chance to see Patrick Mahomes, Tua Tagovailoa, and Tyreek Hill.
