Steve Kerr: Stephen Curry won’t play in first round of playoffs

On Sunday, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed that Stephen Curry will miss at least the first round of this year’s NBA playoffs with his knee injury.

Curry injured his knee, suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain, on Friday night, which was the first game he had played since once again injuring his ankle in early February. He was given a timetable of three weeks recovery from this injury. However, Kerr’s comments indicate he’ll be out almost a full month, given the fact that the playoffs don’t even begin until April 14.

Likely, this won’t impact Golden State’s first round whatsoever unless the other stars suffer injuries that keep them out as well. Kevin Durant will soon be back from his rib injury, and Draymond Green should be good to go following an illness that sidelined him on Sunday.
