On Tuesday, a police report surfaced that stated when he was pulled over for a July 4 DUI arrest, Arizona Cardinals GM Steve Keim had identified himself as the team’s director of security. The police report also claimed that Keim said he “works with Sean McKenzie,” a name the arresting officer recognized as a deceased former cop.
As it turns out, that’s not the case. Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the officer reviewed the footage and now says that Keim stated that he worked with Sean Mackenzie, who was identified as the team’s director of security.
Update from Chandler PD on the Steve Keim DUI case: The initial report said Keim IDed himself as the team’s director of security. After reviewing the footage, Keim stated Sean Mackenzie was their director of security and that he worked for the Cardinals. The officer will correct.

That makes a lot more sense.
It is worth noting that, according to the team website, there is no Sean McKenzie (or Mackenzie) in the team’s security department. That said, the Vice President of security is Shawn Kinsey, which is an easy enough mistake to make.
Certainly, the arrest will not go down as Keim’s shining moment. But the extent of his wrongdoing isn’t quite as vast as had been reported.
