Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry suffered a broken hand in a hard fall during Wednesday night’s loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Further tests are being conducted to determine whether the three-time NBA champ needs surgery. But the expectation is that he’ll be out for a couple months.
Seemingly in good spirits the day after, Curry took to Instagram to thank people for their well wishes and promises he’ll be back soon.
Curry joins fellow All-Star Klay Thompson on the sideline. Klay could miss the entire 2019-20 season after suffering a torn ACL in last season’s NBA Finals.
With Kevin Durant in Brooklyn, this has the makings of a lost season for the Warriors. At this point, they likely won’t rush Curry back in hopes earning a high lottery pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
