It has been a frustrating last six weeks for the Chiefs, as the team has lost four of those games and the offense has not been the dynamic force it was in previous seasons. Things all seemed to hit a head in Week 14 when usually cool QB Patrick Mahomes aired some grievances he had with the referees after their loss to the Bills.

With just over a minute left in the game, and down by three, Mahomes was able to complete a pass over the middle to tight end Travis Kelce. Who, after a couple of steps, lateraled the ball to Kadarius Toney. Toney would take the rock to the end zone for what seemed like an eventual game-winning touchdown.

Unfortunately, Toney was called for offsides, negating the play and setting up Kansas City’s loss on Sunday. Mahomes blasted NFL officials after the game for not “letting them play” While the superstar signal caller may have a gripe, his frustration more likely may be coming from the fact that the team was only in that position because of his receiving corps. continuing to let him down each week.
