The Los Angeles Rams received some massive news on Tuesday that should put them in a position to be a serious Super Bowl contender in the 2024 season.
The 2023 NFL season has been a surprise for the Rams. This team was very much set up to be a rebuilding group. After going all out to win a Super Bowl in the 2021 season, the organization incurred a huge amount of debt that they chose to pay off most of this season. The strategy stopped them from improving the roster and actually selling off or releasing several top players.

However, due to the immense talent of head coach Sean McVay and his staff, the Rams have stunned the NFL over the last six months. As they head into the final game of the season they have already clinched a playoff spot and have a chance to earn double-digit wins for the fifth time in the Sean McVay era.
This season has once again proved the team has one of the best head coaches in the sport as Matthew Stafford has had a big bounce-back season and young stars like Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams have far exceeded expectations in 2023-24.

Yet, Los Angeles Rams fans have learned in recent years that McVay is very open to the idea of taking an extended break from the grind of the NFL, even though he is believed to have a contract that runs through 2026. He has hinted at it the last two years and it always seems to be a dark cloud hovering over the franchise. However, he dispelled those fears today.

During a Tuesday edition of the “Coach McVay Show,” the 37-year-old confirmed he will be back with the team in 2024.
That should be a huge relief for Rams fans and now makes 2024 all the more exciting. The Rams have five picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, including in the first round, and will have a lot more cap flexibility to bolster the roster for next season.
McVay has a 69-45 record over seven seasons in Los Angeles, which includes a Super Bowl title in 2022.
