Redskins’ Jay Gruden blasts his team ahead of Patriots game

Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden heads into Sunday’s game against the undefeated New England Patriots firmly on the hot seat.

Some thought Gruden would get axed after his Skins dropped a fourth consecutive game to start the season in blowout fashion against the New York Giants. That has not yet come to fruition. However, it’s just a matter of time.

When asked about how he’d prepare potential starting quarterback Dwayne Haskins for the Patriots’ complex defense, Gruden decided to throw his offensive line under the bus.

That’s about as lazy of an analysis as a head coach can give. Brady has the quickest release in the NFL. You can’t compare the six-time Super Bowl champion to the likes of Haskins and Case Keenum. Come on, man.

Gruden has yet to name a quarterback for Sunday’s game against the Pats. The combination of Haskins and Keenum have accounted for seven touchdowns and seven interceptions on the season.

Colt McCoy could also get the nod after suffering a leg injury late last season.
