The Oakland Raiders are moving on from yet another veteran they signed last offseason.
Fresh off acquiring wide receivers Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams during free agency, Oakland will reportedly release former Pro Bowl pass catcher Jordy Nelson.

This shouldn’t be a terribly surprising move. After starring in Green Bay for a decade, the 33-year-old Nelson struggled in his first (and only) season with the Raiders. He caught 63 passes for 739 yards and three touchdowns.
Nelson was set to count $5.37 million against the cap in 2019. Oakland saves north of $3.5 million by releasing him.
We fully expect Nelson to get some play on the free-agent market. It will likely come on a short-term deal from a contender.
