The NFL offense rankings are the glamour list of the National Football League. While laying the smackdown on defense is great, scoring with the rock is the name of the game. The top squads in Sportsnaut’s NFL defense rankings may help determine who wins a championship to some, but the offense is what fills the stadiums and draws the TV ratings.

Below you will find an up-to-date evaluation of all 32 squads in the NFL standings. So, scroll down and find out where your team lands in our latest NFL offense rankings.

10 Worst NFL Offenses 2024

Credit: Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

32. Tennessee Titans (Last Week: 32)

The Tennessee Titans offense was one of the worst offenses in the NFL all season long and it is a huge reason why they will have the No. 1 overall pick in April. With Will Levis back in the lineup in the final game of the season, they still couldn’t more than 14 points in another loss, this time to division rivals the Texans.

The Titans have some solid pieces on offense, but they will have to make the most of their picks in the NFL Draft for this unit to have a big turnaround in 2025.

31. New York Giants (Last Week: 31)

The New York Giants offense was a mess all season. Despite hopes that Daniel Jones could return to the player he was two seasons ago, he never recaptured that form and was eventually benched and cut by the team. The run game offered little this year and Andrew Thomas was the only person blocking at an NFL level on the O-line. Unsurprisingly, they ended the season with another loss, but it was needed. Because now they will have the third pick in April’s draft and the chance to get rising star receiver Malik Nabers some help in 2025.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars (Last Week: 30)

The Jacksonville Jaguars offense was a major disappointment this season. Even when former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence was available they struggled. Unsurprisingly, one-time Pro Bowler Mac Jones made little difference after Lawrence incurred a season-ending injury. While he was decent in their final game of the season, and rookie Brian Thomas Jr. posted his fourth 100+ yard receiving day of the season, it wasn’t enough to avoid a loss to the Colts to end an awful 2024 season.

29. Cleveland Browns (Last Week: 29)

The Cleveland Browns offense was one of the worst in the NFL this season as Deshaun Watson’s downward spiral into mediocrity hit new levels. However, with him out of the picture after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury late in the year, the Browns went to their backups. And while the results were far more entertaining, Cleveland’s offense was still a huge part of the team’s 3-14 finish this season.

The Browns have the second overall pick in April’s draft and are sure to use that pick on trying to improve an offense that needs a lot of help in 2025.

28. New Orleans Saints (Last Week: 28)

The New Orleans Saints never lived up to expectations in 2024 despite some talented weapons. Now they head into the offseason wondering if the offense needs a complete remodel and if they should move on from veterans like Derek Carr and Alvin Kamara in the offseason. In the final game of the season, rookie Spencer Rattler got another chance to prove he could be the QB of the future. However, he couldn’t muster much in leading the team to 19 points in a Week 18 loss to the Bucs.

It will be interesting to see what NO does to bring life back to an offense that has some solid parts this offseason.

27. Las Vegas Raiders (Last Week: 26)

The expectations were not high for the Las Vegas Raiders offense this season. And the unit has delivered on those sad assumptions all year. The run game offered next to nothing, the blocking wasn’t good, and Gardner Minshew and Aidan O’Connell suffered major injuries because of it.

After a strong showing in Week 17, the Raiders O was decent in a Week 18 loss to the red-hot Chargers. They only had one turnover and Jakobi Meyers had one of his best games in Vegas (123 receiving yards). But the rushing attack was as mediocre as ever and the unit had to work hard to put 20 points on the board to end the season.

26. Indianapolis Colts (Last Week: 24)

The Indianapolis Colts offense entered the season hopeful that 2023 first-round pick Anthony Richardson could take a step forward and show signs of being a franchise QB. However, that never happened and it even led to a bit of a QB controversy with journeyman Joe Flacco.

The grizzled old vet likely played his last game as a pro in Week 18 and put forth a rock-solid performance in a 26-23 win over the Jaguars. Flacco posted 264 passing yards and a TD and was backed by a huge game from Jonathan Taylor as the star RB ran for 177 yards and a TD in a season-ending victory.

25. Chicago Bears (Last Week: 25)

The Chicago Bears offense had a bit of fool’s gold early in the year as rookie QB Caleb Williams seemed like he could avoid a lot of the pitfalls of being a first-year starter in the NFL. However, as the season progressed the unit fell apart and there were even rumblings the young signal caller might get benched.

In Week 18 the Bears O didn’t fill up the stat sheet, but they still put forth a gutsy effort to put up 24 and end the season on a positive tip with a win over rivals the Packers. Williams only threw for 148 yards but he only missed on eight of his 29 passes. It will be interesting to see if the team focuses on trying to land a QB guru like Detroit OC Ben Johnson to be their next head coach this offseason.

24. New England Patriots (Last Week: 27)

The New England Patriots offense has been an unsurprising disappointment for much of the 2024 season. But it wasn’t the fault of rookie QB Drake Maye. He played as well as he could with the pieces around him on the roster and in the coaching staff.

However, with nothing left to play for in Week 18, the Pats made an interesting decision to showcase backup Joe Milton III ahead of a possible trade in the offseason. And the rookie didn’t disappoint as he posted 241 receiving yards on 22 passes in a win over the Bills to end the year. Second-year man Kayshon Boutte also chipped in with a career day (117 receiving yards) in the victory.

23. Carolina Panthers (Last Week: 23)

After being benched earlier in the year and then getting his starting spot back, Bryce Young played better. While he didn’t fill up the stat over the second half of the season, he gave Carolina Panthers management reason to believe the former No. 1 overall pick still can be the future of their organization.

Week 18 was a good example of that as the second-year QB hit on 25 of his 34 passes for 251 passing yards and three TDs. He was helped by a solid 155 total yards from the run game and the efficient play was a massive part of their big 44-38 overtime win over the Falcons to end the season.

22. Arizona Cardinals (Last Week: 21)

The Arizona Cardinals offense had the pieces to be a pretty good unit. Unfortunately, that did not show over much of the first half of the season. However, over the last month-plus of the season, the group led by Kyler Murray has started to get some momentum and played far better.

Their season-finale against the 49ers was an example of that as they posted 49 in a big win. The offense made the most of three San Fran turnovers as Murray threw for 242 yards and four TDs, and the run game posted 151 total yards. With four different players tallying 20 or more yards in Week 18.

21. New York Jets (Last Week: 22)

There was a lot of hope and hype surrounding Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets offense this season. Yet despite some talented weapons, the unit never took off (pun intended) in 2024. While the well-aged QB was accurate, he lacked the big play ability that made him an NFL legend. And despite a pair of No. 1 receivers — Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams — the New York passing attack was a massive disappointment.

However, the group ended the season on a positive note by posting 32 in a win over the Dolphins. Rodgers threw for close to 300 yards and four touchdowns in what could be his final game in New York.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers (Last Week: 17)

Once Russell Wilson took over as QB in Week 7, the Pittsburgh Steelers offense developed a lot of momentum. The run game remained solid, but the passing attack became a viable threat to opposing defenses each week. It was a huge part of their late-season surge. However, the unit struggled in the final weeks of the season, and Week 18 was another example of that.

In a game important for playoff seeding, Wilson only threw for 148 yards and the run game managed just 74 total yards in a loss to the Bengals. All the momentum they had a few weeks ago now seems gone heading into the postseason.

19. Atlanta Falcons (Last Week: 19)

The Atlanta Falcons’ offense had a lot of potential. They signed a Pro Bowl-level QB in the offseason, had a first-round pick running back, and some nice weapons in the passing game. But the offense was a massive disappointment in 2024. It is why expensive free agent QB Kirk Cousins was benched and replaced by rookie Michael Penix Jr. in Week 16.

While they didn’t make the playoffs this season, there is renewed hope for next season due to how good Penix Jr. looked at the end of the season. Week 18 was another example of that as the rookie threw for over 300 yards in a near win against the Panthers. Unfortunately, 38 points and big season-ending days from Bijan Robinson and Drake London weren’t enough to beat Carolina.

18. Dallas Cowboys (Last Week: 18)

Not much was expected from the Dallas Cowboys offense after Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury in Week 10. Yet, despite going with backup Cooper Rush for much of the second half, the Dallas offense played surprisingly well to end the season and salvaged what was on pace to be a disastrous season.

However, with nothing to play for in Week 18, the ‘Boys decided to give former 49ers first-round pick Trey Lance the start at QB. Unfortunately, he was not as effective as Rush. Despite 150 yards from the run game against the Commanders, Lance and his 43.3 QBR could only lead Dallas to 19 points and a disappointing loss to end the season at home.

17. Denver Broncos (Last Week: 20)

The Denver Broncos offense was up and down over the season’s first nine weeks of the 2024 season. It was to be expected with rookie QB Bo Nix under center. However, over the second half, the young QB started to build some serious momentum towards Rookie of the Year contention.

In Week 18 against a Chiefs team that rested many of its starters, Nix and the Denver offense ended the regular season on a serious high note as they posted 38 in a win over KC. The rookie threw for over 300 yards and four TDs, while four of his receivers reeled in 50 or more yards. They will now take that momentum into a surprise playoff appearance this season.

16. San Francisco 49ers (Last Week: 16)

The San Francisco 49ers entered the new season as the best offense in the NFL. However, huge injuries to top offensive stars Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and Brandon Aiyuk turned them into a shell of the unit fans saw in 2023.

With little to play for to end the season, backup Joshua Dobbs got the start. And his three turnovers played a massive role in the team’s season-ending loss to the Cardinals. It wasted a 109-yard day from journeyman Patrick Taylor Jr. It won’t take much for this unit to be among the 10 best again next season.

15. Seattle Seahawks (Last Week: 15)

The Seattle Seahawks’ offense was a solid group in 2024. But they should have been better considering the weapons on that side of the ball. However, the unit played hard until the end and despite being out of the playoff chase, they posted one of their better performances to end the season.

In a meaningless Week 18 clash with the Rams, Geno Smith connected on 20 of his 27 passes and posted four TD passes to no INTs against LA. The run game also chipped in with a solid 126 yards as the unit ended the season on a high note with a 30-point showing and a W.

14. Houston Texans (Last Week: 14)

Despite some high expectations after adding Joe Mixon and Stefon Diggs in the offseason, the Houston Texans offense never really reached its potential during the 2024 season. Nevertheless, with a talented QB like CJ Stroud, the Houston O has the potential to do serious damage in the postseason.

In Week 18 they limited the snaps of their starts and they still surprisingly earned a dominant 23-14 victory against Tennessee. In relief of Mixon, backup Dameon Pierce had a monster game as he rumbled for 176 rushing yards on just 19 carriers.

13. Miami Dolphins (Last Week: 11)

The Miami Dolphins offense plummeted in our NFL offense rankings with starting QB Tua Tagovailoa out for much of the first half of the season after suffering a fourth concussion in five seasons. However, once the Pro Bowler was back in the lineup the Miami O flew up our rankings were back around the top 10.

However, with the star QB missing the final two games the offense finishes outside our top-10 after a pair of average performances. Including a disappointing 20-point showing in a season-ending loss to the Jets. It wasted a huge 121-yard rushing day on just 11 carries from De’Von Achane.

12. Green Bay Packers (Last Week: 12)

After some early season struggles and injuries, the Green Bay Packers offense evolved into a group on the cusp of top-10 status. While more was hoped from the unit led by young star Jordan Love, the Packers O is a group deserving of respect heading into the 2025 NFL playoffs.

However, the team rested all of their top players in Week 18 as they prepped for the postseason. Despite being without their best weapons, the GB offense still posted 22 and almost scored a surprise win over the Bears.

11. Los Angeles Chargers (Last Week: 13)

With Jim Harbaugh as head coach, the Los Angeles Chargers offense was no longer the high-flying group fans were used to over the last couple of seasons. Instead, they aimed to be more balanced and were led by running back JK Dobbins. While he was strong out of the backfield, Justin Herbert seemed to regress without having the ball in his hands more.

However, in the final weeks of the season, the QB and the LA offense caught fire and Week 18 against the Raiders was a perfect example. Herbert connected on 28 of his 36 passes for 346 yards and Quentin Johnson was a beast with 123 receiving yards. The run game also chipped in 137 total yards during a dominant 34-20 win to end the regular season.

10. Los Angeles Rams (Last Week: 10)

When Matthew Stafford had his full complement of weapons the Los Angeles Rams offense was dynamite. It is why they are a team to fear heading into the 2025 NFL playoffs. However, in Week 18 and with nothing to play for, the Rams rested all of their top players on offense. However, in a show of how good their scheme is, they still posted 25 points with Jimmy Garoppolo under center and Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp both in dress clothes.

If the Rams go far in the postseason it will be due to their strong offensive unit from this season.

9. Washington Commanders (Last Week: 9)

Top pick and 2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels has been everything the Washington Commanders offense could have hoped for and more. The rookie QB has been a threat through the air and on the ground and is a huge reason why they have a top-10 offense to end the season.

However, with their spot in the playoffs set, the Commanders limited the playing time of all their key starters, including Daniels, on Sunday. Nevertheless, with former first-rounder Marcus Mariotta leading the O, Washington still was able to put up 23 in a regular season-ending win. Mariotta starred as the journeyman posted 217 total yards and three TDs in the victory.

8. Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 8)

The defending champion Kansas City Chiefs offense wasn’t the dominant force fans are accustomed to in 2024. But they continued to chug along, putting up enough points, and winning games by making big plays when it mattered most.

In Weeks 16 and 17 they started to look more like the unit that led the way to two straight Super Bowls. While they rested most of their starters in the final game of the season, the Chiefs offense is as healthy as it has been all season and heads into the postseason very dangerous defending champions.

7. Cincinnati Bengals (Last Week: 6)

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals offense was not as formidable as in years past due to injuries and the lack of a reliable run game following Joe Mixon’s departure. Nevertheless, they are still one of the better units in the NFL and showed it late in the season.

That includes an upset win over the Steelers to end the season. In their Week 18 clash on the road, Burrow threw for nearly 300 yards and superstar receiver Ja’Marr Chase added 96 yards and another TD to cap off a career year for Cincy. The big question is was it his last game for the organization?

6. Minnesota Vikings (Last Week: 5)

The Minnesota Vikings offense has been one of the biggest surprises of 2024. Former draft bust Sam Darnold has had a career-redefining season and veteran running back Aaron Jones has given the unit much-needed balance out of the backfield. It is why they enter the postseason as a dark horse in the NFC.

However, in a battle against the conferences best for a BYE in the Wild Card Round, the Vikings offense was completely shut down by Detroit. Darnold hit on just 18 of his 41 passes and threw for only 166 yards. The regular season-ending loss to the Lions was a major wake-up call heading into the playoffs for Minny.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Last Week: 7)

Despite QB guru Dave Canales heading to Carolina before the season, Baker Mayfield’s magic with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers remained in 2024 and the offense was one of the better units in the league for much of the season. After a 48-point showing in Week 17, the Bucs O came up big again in the final game of the season by posting 27 in a win over the Saints to lock up the division title. The rushing attack tallied 179 total yards (69 from Mayfield) in the win over NO.

They head into the postseason as one of the hottest units in the NFL.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (Last Week: 4)

The Philadelphia Eagles offense was not as dominant as expected early in the year after star receiver AJ Brown missed several games. However, once the talented pass catcher returned, the unit turned into a force in the NFC. However, while the passing attack deserves respect, the play of MVP candidate Saquon Barkley is why the Eagles O finished the 2024 season among the top five best units in the game. Philly will go as far as Barkley’s legs take them in the playoffs.

3. Baltimore Ravens (Last Week: 3)

The Baltimore Ravens offense entered Week 18 as one of the top units in 2024. They have delivered a balanced attack led by reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and backed by future Hall-of-Fame running back Derrick Henry. The unit has been a dominant force on the ground and that continued in their final game of the regular season.

Henry posted his ninth 100+ yards day of the season and the superstar QB chipped in with 283 total yards and a TD in a 35-10 win over the Browns to cap the regular season.

2. Buffalo Bills (Last Week: 2)

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills offense was one of the best in the league all season by using a total team effort and smart play. Early in the season, they were doing just enough to score a boatload of wins. However, in the second half of the season, the Bills O has caught fire. Scoring 40 or more in three of their five games. In Week 18 they sat all of their starters. But they head into the playoffs as a serious contender to reach the Super Bowl due to their outstanding offense.

1. Detroit Lions (Last Week: 1)

The Detroit Lions offense showed in 2023 that they were for real and entered the new season as one of the most dangerous offenses in football. After some early-season struggles, the unit hit a groove over the last couple of months and has been a dominant force. It is why they head into the playoffs as the No. 1 unit in our rankings.

While they were far from perfect in their final game of the season, the Detroit offense still dropped 31 on a very good Vikings team. Goff was limited for the first time in a while. However, it didn’t matter in Week 18 as Jahmyr Gibbs continued to show he is a legitimate RB1, posting 139 yards in the win. It was his third straight 100+ yard game of the season.
