The New York Giants are reportedly still very much interested in a reunion with Odell Beckham Jr. in 2023.

Following the NFL trade deadline in November, the biggest potential acquisition around the league was Odell Beckham Jr. The three-time Pro Bowler toured the facilities for several teams around the NFL as he looked to join a contending team for the stretch run of the season and playoffs.

However, after all the speculation, rumors, and social media posts, the man that was key in helping the Los Angeles Rams win a Super Bowl in 2022 ended up remaining on the free agent market. The word was that the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants veteran was recovered from tearing his ACL for the second time, but he was not quite ready to make a meaningful impact on a team last year.

Now, with the 2022 season and Super Bowl LVII in the rearview, the Odell Beckham Jr. sweepstakes have restarted. On Thursday, it was announced that Beckham Jr. would be having an open workout for teams on Friday to prove that he is ready to rock in 2023 and deserves the lofty pay rate he is hoping to get.

Following the news of the planned open workout, ESPN NFL insider Jordan Ranaan reported that the New York Giants will be one of the many teams in attendance at the workout. The news is not surprising, since the Giants, along with the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills, were seen as strong contenders to bring back the player that was a star for the team from 2014 to 2018.

With the NFL free agent market for wide receivers being fairly weak, a healthy Beckham Jr. could quickly become the cream of the wideout market and get the major payday he is aiming for. The Giants are expected to add a wide receiver in NFL free agency or with one of their top picks in the 2023 draft.
