The New York Yankees traded infielder/outfielder Tyler Wade to the Los Angeles Angels on Monday for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Wade, who turns 27 on Tuesday, was designated for assignment Friday along with Clint Frazier and Rougned Odor.
Wade batted .268 with five RBIs and 17 stolen bases in 103 games in 2021. He started games at second base, third base, shortstop, left field and center field.
A fourth-round draft pick by New York in 2013, Wade debuted with the Yankees in 2017 and is a career .212 hitter with six home runs, 33 RBIs and 30 steals in 264 games.
