Kevin Durant gave his haters more fuel with a wild rant telling unhappy NBA fans to go watch the NHL instead.
A case could be made that Kevin Durant is the best player of his era. The man drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 2nd pick in 2007 is a former Rookie of the Year. A one-time NBA MVP. A 15-time All-Star and won the Finals MVP award in the two seasons he went on to win an NBA Championship.

There is a large contingent of fans that shower him with praise. However, there are many others that can’t stand him. In part because he left the Thunder in 2016 to play with the best team in the league at the time, the Golden State Warriors. Then forced his way out of Brooklyn a few seasons ago when he grew unhappy there as well. He has also shown a thin skin when it comes to criticism from fans and fellow players.
Well, it seems Kevin Durant hit a boiling point after another disappointing All-Star Weekend for fans and took to X to air his grievances with NBA supporters unsatisfied with their current product.

Kevin Durant tells unhappy NBA fans to go watch NHL

“I think it’s more fun to complain about the NBA than to actually watch it,” Durant began by writing. “Crazy, cancel all-star weekend, and let’s just give everybody a break since we’re so miserable around this time… Fans complain about EVERYTHING. Like nothing is good enough for the fans right now. The only thing they enjoy is playoffs, trade deadline, free agency, and when players beef with each other lol.”
When asked by a fan on X what he thinks the NBA should do to improve a lackluster All-Star weekend product, the future Hall-of-Famer suggested those disgruntled fans can go watch something else.

“For the betterment of your mental health and just overall well-being, just don’t watch the NBA,” he wrote. “Hockey is right there and they play with that aggression that you may like. They also rarely get traded or go to new teams in free agency so the loyalty aspect is there. Hope that helps.”
