As the NBA Playoffs roll on, 14 teams are looking towards the 2021 NBA Draft lottery with the hopes the ping pong balls will bounce their way. In a loaded draft class, many have reason to be excited about the opportunity to move up for a franchise talent.
A team has moved up to the No. 1 pick in each of the past two drafts. The Minnesota Timberwolves, holding the third-best odds, landed the No. 1 pick in 2020 and eventually drafted rookie sensation Anthony Edwards. A year prior, the NBA world exploded when the New Orleans Pelicans jumped six spots for the right to select Zion Williamson.

When is the NBA Draft lottery in 2021?
The NBA will hold its draft lottery on June 22, with a representative from all 14 teams in attendance. After the lottery is conducted in a private room, the results will be unveiled later that evening.

Where to watch 2021 NBA Draft lottery?
NBA fans can watch the draft lottery on ESPN at 8:30 PM EST. While ESPN’s broadcast will start at that time, it will likely take at least 30 minutes before the NBA announces the full draft order.

In an effort to reduce the incentive of teams tanking, the NBA changed its lottery odds before the 2020 NBA Draft. Under the new rules, the teams with the three worst records share the same odds for the No. 1 pick (14%) and staying in the top four (52%).
