To say that those in St. Louis are a bit upset over the Rams decision to relocate to Los Angeles would be an understatement.
We already know that at least four Rams fans are suing the team over its relocation.
Now comes this somewhat hilarious story from nearby O’Fallon, Missouri.
The River City Rascals, an independent minor league baseball team, is offering fans an opportunity to cash in on their St. Louis Rams gear — gear that fans may no longer want to don:
“St. Louis Rams fans are invited to bring a Rams jersey and/or t-shirt to T.R. Hughes Ballpark and exchange it for a River City Rascals t-shirt and two tickets to a 2016 Rascals home game! All Rams fans making the exchange will be entered to win two free Season Tickets for the upcoming Rascals season,” the team said in a press release. The Rascals will partner with local charities to help supply people in need with the exchanged Rams apparel.”
Without a home football team to support, St. Louis fans are left with the Cardinals and the Blues as their only two professional sports squads. Both have provided the city with a lot to cheer for over the years.
Though, the vacuum needs to be filled somehow.
We have to hand it to this minor league team in its attempt to take advantage of this unfortunate series of events. Providing those in need with gear only adds to the awesomeness of this exchange.
Whether Rams fans take advantage of this opportunity or continue to support the team in Los Angeles. Well, that’s anyone’s guess.
