The Las Vegas Raiders are not playing in the Super Bowl this week. However, the city is hosting the big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

They still find themselves in the news in Sin City.

According to TMZ Sports, Raiders pass rusher Janarius Robinson was stopped on the Vegas Strip at 5:50 AM and booked in jail on a charge of driving under the influence. There are no further details regarding the incident in question. The Raiders have not responded to an inquiry.

Robinson, 25, began his career with the Minnesota Vikings back in 2021 after they made him a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Florida State. He didn’t see any action with Philadelphia before making his way to Eagles in 2022.

This past offseason saw Robinson join the Raiders’ practice squad. He ended up performing well down the stretch after being promoted to the active roster, recording eight tackles and a sack in two games.

This incident brings back memories of what happened surrounding former Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs. He was arrested back in November of 2021 after a deadly crash that killed a woman and her dog in Las Vegas. At the very least, it has to be on the minds of the Raiders’ organization and the local community.

We’ll provide further updates as they become available regarding this latest incident.
