Report: Kevin Durant to Knicks is ‘done’

There has been endless speculation about what Kevin Durant will do this summer when he becomes an NBA free agent, and many have linked him to the New York Knicks.

Smoke is rising in thick billows as it concerns this rumor now.

On Wednesday, Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report told Colin Cowherd that “From everything I’ve heard, it’s done. Yes, he’s leaving… If he so much as gets [the Knicks] into the Conference Finals, he will be beloved there like he never has been at Golden State after 2 Championships.”

Bucher isn’t the only one who’s hearing this, either. His Bleacher Report colleague, the esteemed Howard Beck, wrote Wednesday that “Rival executives will tell you, without hesitation, that Durant is bound for the Knicks; that Irving is likely to join him.”

Despite plenty of success with Golden State, there is no plenty of evidence to suggest Durant could be eager to get away. He and Draymond Green have famously clashed multiple times. It’s also clear that as big a star as Durant is, he’ll always play second fiddle to Stephen Curry in the Bay Area.

Certainly, if Durant were able to bring New York back to respectability, he’d add to his already impressive NBA legacy.
