Report: Kevin Durant, Draymond Green got into tense locker room exchange

All is not fine and well in Golden State Warriors land. Following their overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night, a tense exchange reportedly broke out between Dramond Green and his teammates, star forward Kevin Durant included.

At issue was Green’s unwillingness to give the ball to Durant in transition with the game tied at the end of regulation.

The two had words heading into overtime. It’s something that apparently carried over to the locker room after the defending champs lost for the second time in three games.

Green himself is a passionate player. He has not been afraid in the past to call out Durant on the court. It seems that he didn’t take a liking to Durant returning the favor here.

The narrative thrown out here is that the relationship between Green and Durant might not be on the best of terms. With Durant slated to hit free agency next summer, that’s only magnified further.

But it’s also important to note that the two are good friends. Green was one of the primary reasons Durant bolted from Oklahoma City to Oakland back in 2016. This is probably nothing more than frustration boiling over.

Either way, it’s certainly something to keep an eye on moving forward.
