Joey Logano is the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion after a dominating performance at Phoenix Raceway last November. Coincidentally, Logano also entered the 2023 Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum as the defending winner.
It might not have been the performance he would have liked with a 16th-place finish; however, it did not come without some controversy. In the second half of the event, Logano accidentally spun out Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch after getting into the corner too hot.
Busch took offense to this and called out the driver of the No. 22 car after the race despite a third-place finish. Now, Logano has responded after hearing what the new Richard Childress Racing driver said about him.

Joey Logano responds to Kyle Busch after being called out, says he is “two-faced”
Busch was clearly not happy with Logano about the incident and proceeded to call him “two-faced” after the two spent time in the TV booth earlier that night. The two-time Cup Series champion also said not to talk to him if no respect is shown on the race track.
Logano went on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio and discussed the incident, which was not on purpose. Plus, he addressed what Busch had to say about him.
“Should (Kyle Busch) be mad at me? Yes, yes he should be. It was a mistake, it wasn’t on purpose, but I did wreck him. Thankfully, he got back up there and made it a little better. Am I sorry? Yes, I am. Am I two-faced? Yes, I am. Do I think anything’s wrong with that? No, I don’t…In Kyle’s words, I’m not a complete (expletive) all the time. That’s better than being an (expletive) 100% of the time.
Joey Logano on Kyle Busch calling him out after the Busch Light Clash
It is on brand for Logano to be brutally honest and there is nothing wrong with that. The 32-year-old driver admitted he is two-faced when he is competing on the race track but there’s a difference when he is off the track.
The audience will always get Logano’s true thoughts and that is why he is a great driver to interview. Much like every other driver, they are not there to make friends on the race track.
We will see if Busch responds to the latest words from Logano on the incident. This might mark the end of it or who knows, maybe this will transition back to where it started.
