Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Marcell Dareus was pulled over for speeding Wednesday morning and discovered to have marijuana in his vehicle.
Per News 4 Jax, Dareus was, “issued a notice to appear for possession of marijuana under 20 grams, as possession of drug paraphernalia.”
When Dareus was pulled over for speeding, police noticed “a strong marijuana odor” in the vehicle. After a search, marijuana and a grider were found, though neither Dareus nor the three passengers in the vehicle with him took responsibility for the drugs.
Dareus is a former No. 3 overall pick of the Buffalo Bills who was traded to the Jaguars back in 2017. Appearing in three games for Jacksonville this season, Dareus has tallied six tackles.
