The New York Giants have one of the most coveted picks of the 2018 NFL Draft in the No. 2 overall selection, and general manager Dave Gettleman is loving his options.

The Giants could stand pat, using that pick to select the quarterback of the future, one of the best running backs to come out of college in ages in Saquon Barkley or go with the best pass rusher in the draft, Bradley Chubb. They reportedly are very intrigued by all these options, have a man crush on Sam Darnold and are especially enamored with the two non-quarterbacks mentioned.
Then again, New York could trade out of this spot, landing a king’s ransom in return to trade down with a quarterback-needy team. Gettleman has already made it clear this is absolutely something he’s open to doing.
It’s going to be fascinating to see what New York ends up doing with this No. 2 overall pick. Whatever Gettleman decides will ultimately create a trickle-down wave that will affect everyone underneath him, if he ends up using it. If he trades the pick, then it will absolutely be for a team picking a quarterback, which will have a big impact on quarterbacks still on the board and teams looking to land one.
