The Friday before NFL Week 7 action really gets going has not been boring by any stretch of the imagination. The day kicked off with the Arizona Cardinals announcing the much-anticipated firing of offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. This has led to a “Free David Johnson” movement on social media.
Following this, the Cleveland Browns decided to trade running back Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars. And, the Oakland Raiders announced that Marshawn Lynch will miss several weeks due to a groin injury.
All of these running back-related news tidbits have since sparked quite the hubbub on Twitter.
Now that Nick Chubb has been freed from the clutches of Carlos Hyde's underwhelming 3.4ypc & David Johnson from the wrath of Mike McCoy, it's time to do the same for Aaron Jones & Kerryon Johnson.

[Rapoport] AZCardinals coach Steve Wilks on firing of OC Mike McCoy: “I felt we needed a change. … You definitely want to try to get David Johnson going in the road game and pass game. With Byron understanding some of the success he’s had in the past… https://t.co/yDpMwMcP9g

Hue Jackson is going out there with empty promises of giving Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson more touches so John Dorsey is going to make that a reality.

John Dorsey – "You can't start Carlos Hyde this weekend because I just traded him to Jacksonville. I can do this all day long."
Hue – "You're killing me."

That offer for TJ Yeldon I was never going to send pic.twitter.com/86h87OOXkM

Carlos Hyde trade implications for this week … Nick Chubb now a high RB2, Duke Johnson back on the flex radar in PPR, TJ Yeldon still an RB2 as Hyde is unlikely to be active with only 1-2 days to learn the playbook.

Cook & Fournette out has really hurt my Fantasy team. https://t.co/ojlNXYQpk0

If I was Marshawn Lynch, used to playing through pain and being an OAKLAND player first (why he came here), if I thought Gruden might trade me somewhere else, I might find a reason to go onto IR and block that outcome. Just saying.

Jalen Richard seems like the obvious benefactor of Marshawn Lynch’s injury. He’s young, talented, and catches passes out of the backfield well.
Which means Gruden will almost certainly force feed Doug Martin.

The #Raiders' starting RB for the foreseeable future, Doug Martin, averaged a league-low 0.06 forced missed tackles per touch in '17.
In '18, he ranks 54th at 0.07.
Behind an OAK OL where every starter has battled injury this season, Martin might retire at halftime in Week 8.
