CeeDee Lamb has to be considered the Dallas Cowboys‘ top target with Amari Cooper (COVID-19 protocols) out for Sunday’s game against the two-time defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Lamb, a first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2020, struggled throughout the first half of Sunday’s matchup — catching a mere three passes for 14 yards on four targets.
That will now end up being his final stat line for the game. The former Oklahoma standout exited with a head injury just ahead of halftime. He was almost immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game with a concussion.
This came with CeeDee Lamb and the 7-2 Cowboys down 16-3 in Kansas City. It also placed into question his availability for Dallas’ Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Remember, Cooper is going to miss said game after being placed on the COVID-19 list late last week.
To say that the 22-year-old Lamb is an important cog in the Cowboys’ offense would be an understatement. The youngster entered Week 11 leading the team in receptions (47), receiving yards (726) and touchdowns (six).
We will obviously have further updates on Lamb’s status throughout the week. For now, there’s a good chance he won’t suit up on Thursday.
