Hindsight is always 20-20 — a fact Brock Osweiler is seeing with some clarity now as he heads back to Denver for his first meeting with his old club.
Osweiler said maybe he shouldn't have said Houston gave him better chance to win than Denver. But he was excited about O'Brien's offense.

One wonders if the Houston Texans quarterback’s comment here has something to do with the bloodthirsty comments made by former teammate, Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall.
What’s truly remarkable is that the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos both come into Week 7 with 4-2 records. But the honest truth is that Houston has won at least three of its games in spite of Osweiler, not because of him.
Yes. We concede that the quarterback made some outstanding throws late in the fourth quarter and in overtime on Sunday night at home against the Indianapolis Colts. But nobody would confuse the Colts’ defensive secondary with the Legion of Boom or the No Fly Zone. Indy hasn’t stopped anyone from scoring this year.
Furthermore, Osweiler and head coach/offensive “mastermind” Bill O’Brien haven’t exactly been on the same page of late (more on that here).
Even more interesting is the fact that Denver has gotten to 4-2 while Paxton Lynch and Trevor Siemian have the Broncos’ offense looking pretty shaky as well.
Osweiler leaving Denver out of spite appears to have turned into a classic lose-lose situations for both teams. He’s no franchise savior, as Houston hoped he would be. But he did know head coach Gary Kubiak’s system well enough to manage games for the Broncos last year.
Also, we’re pretty sure DeAndre Hopkins misses Brian Hoyer right about now.
Regardless of what happened in the past, we’re not expecting anything positive to happen for Osweiler when he meets with his former teammates in Denver on Monday Night Football.
It’s far more likely there will be lots and lots of sad, sad football from Houston’s offense and plenty of dancing for Von Miller and Co.
