Barber defends Ben Roethlisberger haircut, says it was a ‘personal favor’

Ben Roethlisberger

Ben Roethlisberger and the barbershop that cut his mop of hair and beard drew the ire of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf on Tuesday. Wolf chastised both parties over the much publicized cut Monday. Pennsylvania, after all, is still not allowing salons and barbershops to open due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now the barber is firing back.

Barber says Ben Roethlisberger haircut was ‘personal favor’

Brooke Pryor of ESPN shared a statement from Marc Kohnen, attorney for Carlos Norman, the owner of Norman’s Cuttin’ Edge Barber Shop. In it, Roethlisberger’s haircut was described as a “personal favor.” The shop itself remains closed, and Norman says no money was received or exchanged for the cut.

At the least, Norman is getting some outstanding publicity out of all this.

And we can confidently say that he did the NFL community a public service getting rid of Big Ben’s mountain man beard.
