Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Peyton Ramsey reportedly entered the transfer portal on Monday, per 247 Sports, and will be a graduate transfer.
Appearing in 31 games the past three seasons at Indiana, Ramsey had some big outings and showed solid pro potential. He completed 66.5% of his passes for 6,581 yards with 42 touchdowns and 23 interceptions during his tenure with the Hoosiers.
Entering the transfer portal does not automatically mean Ramsey will be moving on to a different school. He is free to explore options but can also return to Indiana for the 2020 season.
Given the fact that so many quarterbacks have transferred in recent years, and that so many of them have found success at new schools, we have to believe that Ramsey thinks there will be better opportunities for him to succeed in 2020 with a new program as he attempts to make a name for himself ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft.
