Report: Pacers star Victor Oladipo hoping to return in a month

The Indiana Pacers have been without star guard Victor Oladipo since late January of last year with a ruptured right quad.

It’s been an extensive rehab for the All-Star. It could also now be coming to an end here soon.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Oladipo is hopeful that he’ll be able to return late next month.

“Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo is hopeful to return to the lineup by early February — and perhaps as soon as late January — from a ruptured right quad tendon,” the report read.

This could not be better news for a surprising Pacers squad that currently sits at 21-10 on the season.

Oladipo, 27, averaged 21.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists in his first 111 games with the Pacers after being acquired in the Paul George trade.

His return will help Indiana navigate through what has been a vastly improved Eastern Conference this season. He’ll join recent acquisition Malcolm Brogdon in forming an elite backcourt duo.
