Just over two months ago, Indiana Pacers star guard Victor Oladipo suffered a devastating season-ending knee injury.

The All-Star went down in pain during a game against the Toronto Raptors on Jan. 23.

What looked to be a serious injury was confirmed the following day. The youngster suffered what was confirmed to be a ruptured quad tendon in the knee.

While the injury itself was bad, it looks like Oladipo is already making great strides in his recovery. The guard took to Instagram on Wednesday to post an update.

As you can see, Oladipo is walking around without any crutches or braces on his injured knee. This comes, as he noted, eight weeks and one day after undergoing surgery.

Especially after seeing the brutal injury Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic suffered earlier this week, it’s refreshing to look at the progress these players make behind the scenes.

Sure Oladipo was lost for the season. It’s still going to be a long road back for the young man.

Even then, what he’s done during a brilliant young career in the NBA suggests that Oladipo is more than up for the task. This latest update magnifies that to a T.

A rising star in the truest sense of the word, Oladipo was averaging 18.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game prior to going down to injury.
