A day after he hit a home run wearing the name and number of his fallen teammate, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout posted a touching tribute to Tyler Skaggs on Saturday.
Trout shared a picture of himself in front of the image of Skaggs posted on the outfield wall. He also wrote a heartfelt message sharing how much he misses his friend and how grateful he was for their friendship.
It’s another touching piece in what has been an emotional period for the Angels. The team honored Skaggs on Friday against the Seattle Mariners and threw a combined no-hitter, all while wearing his jersey.
While Skaggs’ teammates, friends and family continue to mourn his loss, the outpouring of love, support and incredible memories that have come out since are special.
