According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Seattle Seahawks have reportedly released veteran wide receiver Doug Baldwin with a failed physical designation.
The receiver’s future had been in doubt after he completed an injury-riddled 2018 season. Throughout 13 games, Baldwin recorded only 50 receptions amounting to 618 yards and five touchdowns.
The 30-year-old Baldwin is currently healing from surgery for a sports hernia and is also on the mend from knee and shoulder injuries that plagued him in 2018.
Taking this into consideration, retirement seems to be Baldwin’s best decision moving forward.
