On Monday morning, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger opened up about his fractured relationship with former teammate Antonio Brown.
Roethlisberger discussed the relationship with Bob Pompeani of KDKA2 in Pittsburgh. He accepted responsibility for “ruining” the relationship and apologized profusely for his part in the breakup.
Specifically, Roethlisberger apologized for going to far with his public, highly critical comments about Brown following Pittsburgh’s loss to the Denver Broncos in late November.
He also lamented that the damage had already been done, and that saying “sorry” only goes so far.
While Roethlisberger is correct in saying he can’t take it back, perhaps this is the first step toward potentially mending the broken relationship he has with Brown.
