The legend of Stephen A. Smith only continues to grow.
The popular ESPN personality has made headlines the past year for getting his facts incredibly wrong discussing the NFL. And on Tuesday, he was at it again with a huge faux pas discussing the Mike Trout contract.
Smith was doing his radio show on ESPN, speaking to Jeff Passan, who broke the news of the Trout contract. That’s when he things went sideways, as Smith asked what the deal means for Mike Scioscia.
The obvious problem here is that Scioscia no longer manages the Angels. He left that position in October of last year. The man who now leads the Angels from the dugout is Brad Ausmus.
At least this time (unlike in the past), Smith showed some remorse for his forgetfulness.
