Monday didn’t come and go without some drama in Philadelphia. The day started out with a report indicating that Eagles franchise quarterback Carson Wentz is seen as “egotistical” and “not a team guy” by some in the locker room.
Almost immediately after said report broke, star defensive lineman Fletcher Cox questioned the truthfulness of said report — backing Wentz in the process.
It’s now Pro Bowl safety Malcolm Jenkins who is speaking out against the report. In the process, he’s making a few interesting predictions.
Ya'll getting outta control with this @cj_wentz thing…
– Good teammate ✅
– Soon to be league MVP ✅
– The 2019 @Eagles Starting QB ✅
Now go to sleep , ya'll messing up my "Me Time" 💆🏿♂️😴— Malcolm Jenkins (@MalcolmJenkins) January 22, 2019
We’re not going to speculate about whether the report was true. But it’s pretty clear that someone within the Eagles’ organization leaked the information. Why? Not sure.
What we do know is that multiple big-name Eagles players have now come out in support of Wentz. That’s not a bad thing.
