The Los Angeles Dodgers didn’t waste any time in hopes of advancing to the World Series in Game 6 of the NLCS Friday night.
Up 3-2 in the series and playing in Milwaukee, Dodgers first baseman David Freese nailed a lead-off homer against Brewers opener Wade Miley.
It was certainly a bang to get the Dodgers on the scoreboard as they look to repeat as National League champs.

Needless to say, the Twitter world has some strong reactions, both good and bad.
Biggest postseason homer of David Freese's career at Miller Park? Has to be. 1-0, Dodgers.

David Freese doing David Freese things. #Dodgers

Haha Smoltz is such a hater…Freese goes yard, Turner gets a hit, Miley throws 25 pitches in the first inning (way more than he did in Game 2 innings) and all he can talk about is how great Miley has been and confident he is…#please #Dodgers #Postseason

I don't know why they didn't have Miley throw one pitch to Freese & replace him with Woodruff for the rest of the night. You're losing the head games, Craig! Also, #DodgersvsBrewers auto-fills, but #BrewersvsDodgers doesn't. What kind of sorcery is this? It should be the latter!

Incredible but true: David Freese also homered in the first inning of the last NLCS Game 6 at Miller Park, for STL in 2011. He was named MVP and the Cardinals advanced to the World Series.

The Dodgers had not homered in 128 plate appearances. Wade Miley had not allowed a homer to the last 206 batters he faced. So, of course, Dave Freese homered right away. 1-0, Dodgers, after half an inning.

I feel like the Brewers deserved giving up that home run for whatever Counsell is doing with Miley.

David Freese started in the leadoff spot for the 4th time in his career.
He homered on Wade Miley's fifth pitch of the game.
