WATCH: David Freese drills lead-off HR in Game 6

After an extended drought without a home run, Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman David Freese drilled a lead-off bomb to kick things off in Game 6 against the Milwaukee Brewers.

On the fifth pitch of his at-bat, Freese lined a change-up over the wall in right-center field to put the Dodgers out ahead early against Wade Miley.

Los Angeles relied on home runs heavily in the regular season, but entered Friday night without a home run in 111 consecutive at-bats. Freese’s solo blast to kick things off in Game 6 snapped the streak and also ended Miley’s stretch of dominance this postseason.

If Freese’s home run unlocks a power-hungry lineup in Game 6, Los Angeles could quickly rack up the runs and potentially win the NL Pennant on Friday.
