Johnny Manziel was at Texas A&M Tuesday for the school’s pro day, and he reportedly impressed NFL scouts for the second time in a week.
Gil Brandt of NFL.com, who is as plugged-in as anyone in the league, wrote on Twitter, “Hearing really good reports from my scouts on the ground on how Johnny Manziel’s workout went today at Texas A&M’s pro day. One said he even looked better than he did in 2014.”
Considering the Cleveland Browns took Manziel in the first round in 2014, that’s saying something.
This was the second pro day in a week that Manziel had participated in. He was throwing last week at the University of San Diego. For a peek at some video of Manziel throwing during that session, click here.
Manziel also looked sharp on Tuesday. He said afterward that he’ll be playing in the Canadian Football League following his stint in the Spring League, if no NFL teams offer him a contract.
Based on the reports from both pro days, it would be surprising if Manziel didn’t at least get a chance to prove himself to an NFL team this summer.
