As the Tennessee Titans prepared for their first playoff game in nearly a decade, rumors swirled that head coach Mike Mularkey was coaching for his job. Well, he and the Titans pulled off a miraculous comeback in the second half, scoring 18 unanswered points to beat the Kansas City Chiefs by one point Saturday night.

On Sunday, the Titans announced Mularkey will be the head coach in 2018, alleviating any concerns he may have had.

Mularkey admitted after the game that the rumors definitely were unsettling, noting it wasn’t fair to his family. He criticized the Titans, saying “No I haven’t had any support to say that I was, so, no, I just assumed the worst.”

After guiding the Titans to a 9-7 record and their first playoff win since the Jeff Fisher era, it’s safe to say Mularkey has some support now.
