Jack Del Rio sends son Luke Del Rio encouraging message after season-ending injury

Florida Gators quarterback Luke Del Rio

Florida quarterback Luke Del Rio was dropped to the ground on a brutal tackle Saturday, which sent him to the locker room. The senior had surgery to repair a broken collarbone Monday, and he’ll be out the remainder of the 2017 season.

This marks the second season in a row in which Del Rio has suffered a season-ending injury. That’s rough. However, showing the mental fortitude you’d expect from Jack Del Rio’s son, Luke tweeted out a message on Sunday that showed he’s not letting it get him down.

One day later, not long after the Oakland Raiders head coach had to announce his starting quarterback is out for anywhere between 2-6 weeks with a fracture in his back, Del Rio sent his son an encouraging message.

It doesn’t get any better than that. On a totally unrelated note, suddenly it’s very dusty in my office.
