You won’t believe the parking prices for Super Bowl LI

Zoo Atlanta

Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons is set to kick off early Sunday evening in Houston. While the ticket prices for the game itself have dropped considerably since the Dallas Cowboys were eliminated, those attending the game will be dealing with price gouging when it comes to parking.

That’s $200 to park blocks away from NRG Stadium in Houston.

This isn’t necessarily different from previous seasons. Heck, this one scribe once paid $100 to park blocks away from old Candlestick Park in one of the most run-down areas of San Francisco.

Still, it’s pretty laughable that local businesses and those who live in Houston would attempt to make that much of a profit simply due to their mere existence near the stadium.

Not only will seemingly half the fans who dropped a couple hundred to park go home unhappy when their team loses Super Bowl LI, they will have to pay the piper as well.
