Yadier Molina is returning to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The club announced on Tuesday that the nine-time All-Star catcher has been activated from the IL.
Molina last played on May 28. Since then, he’s been sidelined with an injury to his right thumb.
St. Louis enters Tuesday’s action at 32-32. The Cardinals are in third place in the NL Central, five games behind the division leading Milwaukee Brewers. They also sit four games out of the second wild card spot in the NL.
Prior to his injury, Molina was hitting .265/.294/.397 with four home runs on the season.
