With the playoffs right around the corner, the Washington Wizards got some bad news during Thursday’s game against the Detroit Pistons. Forward Otto Porter Jr. left the game with an ankle injury.
The injury did not look good.

He eventually left the floor, putting no weight on the injured ankle as he did.
The Wizards later announced that Porter had sprained his ankle and was unlikely to return to the game.

The Wizards have all but locked up a spot in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. A long-term injury to Porter would certainly be detrimental to their chances in the postseason.
Entering Thursday’s game, Porter was averaging 14.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals a game for Washington.
