The Chicago Cubs placed catcher Willson Contreras on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring injury, but it appears he’ll be out closer to a month.
Jesse Rogers of ESPN shared that a source indicated to him Contreras will likely miss four weeks with this hamstring injury.
Contreras was only recently activated off the IL following a foot injury, only to land right back on it with another lower-body ailment.
In 87 games this season, Contreras has hit .275 with 19 home runs and 57 RBI. Clearly, the Cubs will have a hard time replacing that kind of production while he heals up from this latest injury.
