WATCH: Yankees’ Cameron Maybin with outstanding HR robbery

Even at a time when the New York Yankees seemingly keep having to plug in injury replacements for the outfield, someone new always steps up. This time it’s Cameron Maybin who showed off the glove with an incredible robbery at the wall.

In the fourth inning with the Minnesota Twins already leading 2-0, second basemen Jonathan Schoop blasted a pitched high in the air and on the verge of a three-run shot to give his team a five-run lead. Instead, Maybin took flight and snatched it out of the air to end the inning.

It’s already impressive for any outfielder to show off his defensive skills with a catch like this one. For a 32-year-old outfielder to do it just shows how much athleticism Maybin still has even towards the end of his career.

Now the Yankees have to hope it will provide the spark they need to come back in this game and beat one of the best teams in the American League.
