The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are the worst team in the FBS, and on Saturday they proved it once more against Indiana.
On the first play from scrimmage after the opening kickoff, Rutgers quarterback Johnny Langan was sacked by Demarcus Elliott for a loss of eight yards. Langan fumbled on the play, and Reakwon Jones scooped and scored from 17 yards out.
As if that weren’t bad enough, Rutgers went 3-and-out on its next possession, and Indiana marched right down the field on a two-play, 70-yard drive to score another touchdown with less than three minutes having ticked off the clock.
The Hoosiers are rolling, and Rutgers is a disaster. This game is already out of hand, and the clock has barely started to tick.
