The Hall of Fame Game is a perfect chance for players not high on the depth chart to show what they can do. After the Arizona Cardinals jumped to an early lead, Dallas Cowboys tight end Rico Gathers did just that.
Gathers, who spent 2016 on the practice squad after not playing football in college or even high school, showed why he’s the No. 1 rebounder in the history of Baylor basketball.
Just throw it up to the basketball player…

Gathers certainly wouldn’t be the first college basketball player to make an impact as an NFL tight end. If he can continue to go up and grab passes like that, we should expect to see even more of him. Not many defensive backs can get up that high to bring a ball in.
